I wanted to have one fixed-width sidebar and a variable width content-area. The trick is to add the sidebar's width to the right-margin of the content area. Now it works like a charm :)

I have to say that the Pre UI looks pretty interesting. The only one so far that's even close to the iPhone interface-wise. I'm not sure if the touch-area below the screen is good or not. Remains to be seen.

This just got posted on Twitter: <<Jennifer Leggio mediaphyter @scobleizer I think that's what he means. That's what I'd like to see anyway. Eventually FF will be spammed. Would like to be ready to block>> RESPONSE: if FriendFeed is spammed, it's easy to get rid of it. Everyone who starts a comment cluster, like this one, is owned by the person who starts it. So, if a spammer comes here, I have the ability to delete that spam. This distributes the spam blocking among everyone.

So each person will be responsible for blocking spam? I'd like to be able to block bots/trolls/etc.

@Nathan Doesn't matter if I subscribe to them (which I wouldn't) if they are subscribed to me or others. I'd have to monitor every discussion thread and delete their comments as they come in with the current set-up. And would have to hope the folks I read do the same.

Yeah, I am a recent big 'hide' fan. However, that only works for what displays on my feeds. It would be nice to be able to moderate *some* of what shows up on my feeds that others see.

i used "global hide" and it still shows each and every hidden item, with an unhide button, taking up tons of room. That's a FAIL, Friendfeed.

Not many people will hang around here too long if we're spending half of our time deleting spam comments. There's going to need to be a way to filter that out completely. If it it makes it's way on to a comment the horses are already out of the barn.
