Look at the diagnostic criteria for alcoholism, for example. It includes a lot of other criteria that you must meet. @Rochelle That's my point. It seems so strange to add some arbitrary measuring stick like that to what amounts to a compulsion. Using the Internet to an extreme degree seems like a symptom of other compulsions rather than some kind of addiction in and of itself. - Steve Spalding
