Internet Addiction To Become Clinical Disorder - http://howtosplitanatom.com/the-new...
Er...no-one on FF needs to read this. Nothing to see here. Move along.... - WoH: Minding her Botts
More than 4 hours a day . . . le sigh . . . - Steve Spalding
Could be worse :) - Charlie Anzman
Oh, eyeroll. 4 hours is so arbitrary. When it actually comes down to it, the diagnostic criteria will have to include other features, such as the addiction impairing other parts of your life. Look at the diagnostic criteria for alcoholism, for example. It includes a lot of other criteria that you must meet. It's not just a pre-set number of drinks per week. http://www.behavenet.com/capsule... - Rochelle
Lol WoH - Josh Haley
Wow... disorder, eh? Ooof! I'm in deep trouble! - Dean "Karnatos" Michaud
@Rochelle That's my point. It seems so strange to add some arbitrary measuring stick like that to what amounts to a compulsion. Using the Internet to an extreme degree seems like a symptom of other compulsions rather than some kind of addiction in and of itself. - Steve Spalding
Me too, passed the 4 hour mark a long time ago. - Roberto Bonini
Steve, is it ok if I reference this article in a blog I'm going to write? - Shevonne
