Other than FOAF does a common import/export protocol for Social Network friends exist? Don't you think it should?

I think it's one of the things it is supposed to do, http://portablecontacts.net/ also exists. I think the problem is ease of integration and backwards compatibility.

What is FOAF missing (other than implementors) that you are looking for?

The other is XFN I think. PortableContacts.net is supposed to be giving us an easier layer to use though. It has a bunch of fairly smart people working on it so far.

Right, forgot about XFN. While on the topic, the Social Graph API (SGA) is attempting to provide access to FOAF and XFN data that is publicly shared. http://code.google.com/apis...
