Idea #5 - I want a cheap document reader (Kindlesque) that wirelessly syncs my email, pdfs, docs and feeds to read on the go. I don't need/want any fancy bells and whistles -- it just needs to be fast, cheap and sturdy enough to take a few knocks and bumps.
Nice idea. - Daniel Schildt
a bit, still too "heavy" I am looking for a single purpose doc reader. No touchscreen or web surfing necessarily. Closer to the Kindle. - Steve Spalding
Sounds like a Peek with eReader functionality http://www.getpeek.com/ - Jesse Hattabaugh
Wow, 19.99 month for email? I'd say the form-factor is the right idea but I'm thinking a lot more formats and wireless instead of whatever network the Peek uses. - Steve Spalding
I don't know about cheap, but the Readius looks interesting. Tiny. Rollable e-ink screen. 3.5G. http://www.readius.com/pocket-... - Rodfather
@Rod that's exactly (well close enough) what I am looking for. Weird I haven't seen anything about this yet. - Steve Spalding
Kindle should have a new version coming out soonish (few months?) from what the buzz is. I would wait for it. The price should drop too - Bartek Ciszkowski
@Rod the only problem is the form-factor, while cool, will probably make it prohibitively expensive. - Steve Spalding
Yes it will probably be expensive. Hopefully rollable e-ink displays catch on and become cheaper. - Rodfather
you want a windows mobile phone. i had all that with my ppc. - Anika
Hm, I'll have to take a look. - Steve Spalding
