The Times and Bit.ly Roll Out ‘nyti.ms’ Short Links - http://digg.com/tech_ne...
"Seven characters is really not all that short. Curious that they decided to actually write about this, others of us in media simply implemented our own shortened URLs as merely something that needed to be done, and didn't turn it into a "story."" - S. Charles Balazs

Microsoft and News Corp in Discussions to Remove Newspaper C - http://digg.com/busines...
"Microsoft sees the opportunity to make money off of the stupidity of Murdoch and those like him that are clueless. These sites already have so much competition and not enough exclusive content to make money in a strictly-paid, un-search-able/un-indexed configuration. The time to charge was 10-12 years ago when these sites had less competition and people had more money in their pockets. Murdoch is really supposed to be a businessman? He needs some education about the Internet." - S. Charles Balazs

Re: Web Browser Faceoff: Mozilla Firefox vs. Google Chrome - http://mashable.com/2009...
"My daily pain. I installed Chrome to try it out. It's now my default browser and I can't seem to change that. I also can't uninstall it, the uninstall just doesn't work. I love the speed and the UI, so much more screen space than all the crowded toolbars and menu bar on Firefox. That said, there are a few Firefox extensions I cannot live without--chiefly Feedly and Aviary. Now that FF 3.5 is out and fast enough (though not as fast as Chrome), I'm clearly in the FF camp. (But whenever I click a link, here comes Chrome as my default. >:| )" - S. Charles Balazs
