GeekMommy: Whoa. It's absolutely true. Vaseline petroleum jelly removes sticker residue like magic. A litte clean up w/dish soap & perfect. Who knew? - http://twitter.com/GeekMom...
May I also introduce you to the substance my husband claims is the best part of being married to an art director: rubber-cement thinner. Does much the same thing with sticker residue (fun with two-year-olds?) and removes permanent marker from nonporous surfaces. - MaryB, BrandingBroadOfFF from iPhone
smart ! - Susan Beebe from BuddyFeed
Thanks. I'll have to remember this. - Melissa R. Weintraub
WD-40 will also dissolve adhesives on contact. - Mark Davidson from BuddyFeed
I swear by GooGone. - dthree
Yep, and for those who have to stay clear of the petrochems, any natural orange-enzyme based degreaser will eat through most adhesive residues. Just spray on full strength and watch the fun begin. Just like a commercial, wipes away clean with a paper towel. Once removed large patches of duct tape residue off the floor from where it was being used for cheap cord management. lol - Melanie Reed
That's good to know, Melanie. - joey
@Melanie - And mayonnaise, for those who don't keep orange cleaners on hand. - Miss Elle
