I had an account in 1979 MicroNET/CompuServe... ah, with a Novation 300 Baud Acoustic Coupler...that would 'hiccup' if I played my music too loud (The 1200baud direct connect was awesome) I ran a few forums for various companies and went thru all of the versions of the software until AOL bought them. We didn't even have "CB" at first... we did have a programing area where someone made "Pony Express" to send/receive messages quickly from others. It was fun chatting with Roger Ebert who truly made me feel like he was listening. Also chatting with Cartooonist Bill Holbrook and even Rush Limbaugh was interesting.
