Maybe a step in the direction you mention would be to have an aggregated likes of all the people you are subscribed to in friendfeed, just an initial step, maybe later friendfeed can have an aggregated likes for all of friendfeed, but then it would become something like digg ... - Cesar Arevalo

I still think likes and importance are relative. It's individual taste. I for one like noise and that's why TechMeme doesn't meet my need. Having said that, when the mood hits me and I want "credible" news, I check it out. - Moushumi Kabir

I still check out TechMeme every day too. The two matched together are actually incredibly useful. I wish Gabe would add a new section to TechMeme which includes the best of Twitter, videos, and FriendFeed items. He wouldn't need to mess with the top of the page.
