Ride the wave. I like that. Good way of putting it.

if you use the pause button and filters, i don't see the problem. really, why slow down information? it just takes some getting used to, but give em time...
- MG Siegler
The pause icon is too small... I want a keyboard shortcut (space bar). And now! :)
- Jérôme
It looks like it's a massive improvement. I always found the old interface very confusing.
- Peter Urban
Aesthetics matter and this beta is literally rough around the edges.
- Andrew Smith
I'll try building up groups later.. maybe that makes "riding the wave" more beginner friendly :)

My initial reaction to the new real-time stream, besides it being a little too fast, is that it has very little value as a conversational tool. It's a little chaotic. I do like that we can toggle between standard and real-time.
- Phil Essing
@Phil: Consider the main page stream as a flow of information.. All discussions you jumped into are listed within "my discussions" anyway.
- Daniel van Moll
It seems to be the trend these days. Whenever some site comes out with new features people have to complain first, test later.
- Heidi Cool
@Daniel: Definitely. The stream is basically a real-time Twitter, with the added element of being able to see what your followers' friends are saying.
- Phil Essing
@Paul Buchheit: Please build a new Chromium derivative browser around FriendFeed. Also pls add SocialMedian-style "replize". Thanks!
- Daniel J. Pritchett
connecting to friendfeed for the first time from iPhone any plans for ff to release their own app? any recs for apps avail now?
- roger byrne
@roger byrne: FF has an iPhone optimized version at http://friendfeed.com/iphone/ Navigate to the page with your iPhone and create a springboard icon (bookmark).
- Phil Essing
The UI is completely different, but I love the live feed, it's neat.
- Aaron Myers
Looks like they really took your "FriendFeed is too complex for most" post to heart.. question is, will it be too late to matter (I doubt they're getting mentions off of CNCBC, CNN, etc. anytime soon)? BTW I wrote a riff on your post back then: http://businessmindhacks.com/post...
- Alex Schleber
BTW, do you think they will introduce comment threading? I could really see that helping (wish Twitter had a feature to expand convos on the fly in the Web interface the way that Search.twitter.com already allows)
- Alex Schleber
@Phil Essing Thanks for the reply will check it out had a go using MotherFeed on the iphone but wasnt impressed! Cheers!
