Looks very promising. Now we only need some cool apps for it ;) I think that's one of the major advantages with iPhone. There aren't many apps for Symbian around.

i think there are PLENTY of good symbian apps around. the interface isn't as great for them, but you can pretty much find a program for anything you'd want to do. pedometer a la fitbit, geocaching your runs, twitter clients, push email, flash lite 3 to play video in browser, irc, etc..

I don't think there is enough choice of quality apps for symbian, and as Henry says the interface is often poor. The lack of a central store does make app discovery very difficult as well.

Looks pretty good but not revolutionary and, as ever, until there is real world usage we won't know the small but very important things

agreed matthew. but then i'd choose a lot over the iphone. i can't stand its restrictions..symbian blows it out of the water in terms of openness.
- henry
Is it me or is this really not a good presentation/delivery? The device warrants better.
- yanwoo
just the fact that we are all here, we are pretty big geeks. i think the majority of us would give up a little interface for more features and potential.

Unfortunately it's not even remotely available in China, even not listed in upcoming models. :(

Aw man, the N96 was launched just 3 months ago and I just got it. I can't help feeling screwed now. I swear this will be the last Nokia I own.

Iphone has the best mobile browser, also the OS is so much better than Symbian. Symbian might be open, but it just feels clunky and messy, especially when trying to get/use most apps. Android ft
