I think that twitter aren't even thinking to sell to anyone, they raised fund this year, their scalability pb are less for day to days the service is more stable then in the past, and the search service is promising there is no rason to sell. and to go a step further I think that they will make investement, acquire some startup related to stock analysis they will bring real time fianance analysis, at least I will do if I had a chair in twitter. - abdellah
Seems like Google would be gun-shy after Jaiku, anyway. Plus, Twitter would be stale for over a year while it gets ported to Google's infrastructure, which would kill any momentum it has this year. These deals always sound so based in fantasyland. - Mark Trapp
I happen to think that Twitter is an inane over-hyped useless piece of junk, but all the same I can't see a Google deal as being good for it. After Dodgeball and Jaiku, we can only conclude it's not a space Google plays well in. - Eric P

Twitter wasn't able to kill off Twitter, why do you think Google would be able to? Twitter today isn't what dodgeball and jaiku were a couple years ago. Plus Ev has already been through one Google merger. - Erik S
