This is Gist.com -- the best computers, smart people, crammed into small Seattle office and two more employees joining tomorrow. I love real startups. This is how our economy will come back. - Robert Scoble
what camera as you useing - walterh
Impressive. Looks like the formula is equal parts coffee:coke:water. I'm assuming it's water in those squeeze bottles! :) - Salim Virani
Still looking for start-ups to meet with here, Robert? If so, I've got a suggestion for ya... - The original Kevin
Hehe ++Salim/Sajan - Zu from AOD
I see the Diet Coke but where's the empty pizza boxes? p.s. my first startup was launched on top of an old door held up with cinder blocks and a file cabinet as a 'desk' - Andrew Leyden
Kevin: I might have time in the morning. How about email scobleizer@gmail.com or call +1-425-205-1921 - Robert Scoble
Cool. I'll send you the deets. - The original Kevin
At my first start up we worked in a cave that we dug with our own hands. We used free AOL CDs glued together for desks. It was crazy!! ;-) - Todd Pringle
Cave? You were lucky to have a cave! We used to work in one room, all hundred and twenty-six of us, no furniture. Half the floor was missing; we were all huddled together in one corner for fear of falling! ;) - dario
looks like my idea of fun ! - Adam Singer
Gnip looks a lot like this. - Louis Gray
Inconsistently consistent! - Sampad Swain
I worked at a tech startup here in LA, were 4 of us were crammed into a storage room filled with desks from a school that no longer existed. FF 3 years, I temped at another internet startup, that had this huge swanky spot next door to MTV. My cubicle had about $6K worth of stuff in it. There were a couple hundred people there doing the work of 20. They went belly up in 9 mos. - Anika
so glamorous in its 3rd world working conditions. - anna sauce
I would like to have an internal team like this to work with. Bootstrapping can get lonely from time to time. - Jeremy Campbell from twhirl
Pfft. That's what gratuitous VC funding looks like. REAL startups are bootstrapped by founders on their own with no paid employees at all. - Paul Montgomery
I think I will Go with Paul - Prakash
Robert: How does the small number of startups and smaller number of founders/employees even begin to help the US economy? You'd be lucky if the numbers at startups came to 200,000. Plus it takes them 5+ years to get to anything like meaningful revenue in a good market, like the late 90s. If there is a recovery, it will have to come from science research, then manufacturing, not startups. - Paul Denlinger
You should stop by the school and say Hello. :-) Not quite a startup, but technology and education, well Ok, I think it is interesting. LOL! And I'll totally understand if you can't. r/d - Dan owns Comicsforge.com
