Steve Gillmor is off his meds. He's also wrong, it takes literally seconds for stuff to go from Twitter to FriendFeed and back, but why stop the facts from getting in the way of a rambling, weird, story? - Robert Scoble
And, yes, I realize that Gillmor is just yanking our chains to get us to talk about nothing but and put him toward the top of TechMeme. - Robert Scoble
I think Gillmor is kidding around here, and I think the punch line is buried near the end where he talks about how he's addicted to FriendFeed. He hates it the way I do - I hate it because I'm here FriendFeeding at nearly midnight on a Saturday. - Mitch Wagner
sometimes twits show up on FF before they show up on Twitter itself. - Thomas Hawk
Dammit - now I've got that "Blame Canada!" song going through my head. - iTad
Robert, your "chat room" thesis is correct. Steve doesn't like the idea of open-ended threaded conversation that can migrate between sites. One thing I learned at NCTA was that fragmentation can present opportunity. I think you're doing a good job of calling attention to the opportunity, while Gillmor trashes it for some reason. Cheers. - Andrew Feinberg
Interesting to position what Andrew Baron wrote up on FF today vs. what Gillmor did. http://dembot.com/post... I don't blame Steve though. But I think he needs to spend 48 hours or so in here before writing something like that. - Thomas Hawk
I have a feeling that Gillmor will come around to FriendFeed eventually. He has admitted on NewsGang / Gillmor Gang that it took him about 6 months to "get" Twitter and now he is one of the biggest Twitter supporters around. - Mike Doeff
