Hanging out with Google PR team. Got any questions for them?
ask them what they think of cuil.com LMAO - Chris Harris
Ask them about the new SEC decision re recognizing Corporate Blogs as "Pubic Disclosure". What impacts will PR see from this? Will Press Releases go to the way side and post directly to the Corp. Blog only? what's their take? - Susan Beebe
ask when they will buy friendfeed - Benedikt Koehler
@benedikt or come out with googlefeed - Chris Harris

@Toby If their trademark becomes a 'word' in the human language they basically lose their Trademark status. - Roger Kondrat
Rob Bushway: Gmail Premium for Busines does this - approx $50 / user - Susan Beebe
This is the Google PR team. You're not going to get any answers out of them. - Nathaniel Payne
PR as in public relations or PR as in Page Rank :-) - Atul Arora
Why did they back out of the Digg deal? - Josh Haley
Nathaniel Payne has a point. What does the PR team see as its mission in life? (Presumably they won't answer that question with "obfuscation.") - Ontario Emperor
didn't you just write a blog post on avoiding PR people? :) - Jeremy Toeman
Bob Kingsley had an excellent question. Turns out it's a trick question, as I found out after goog- I mean searching for the answer.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki... - Ontario Emperor
Transparency is a word that seems foreign to Google. What are they doing to change that? - Dennis Howlett via twhirl
Google is rightly getting good press for its support of electric automobiles, employee bicycle commuting, and mass transit. But the company also operates one of the largest, most extravagant corporate aircraft in the world. How does this square? Are they doing anything internally to reduce long-haul air travel? - Chris Baskind
Right you are, Ontario. I first heard it embedded in a Monty Python sketch nearly 40 years ago. Can't remember which one now. Hmm ... I wonder if goggling can provide THAT info? :) - Bob Kingsley
@Jeremy - funny - anna
Who on earth thought of Knol as a brand? http://friendfeed.com/e... - Roberto Bonini

Whew. Jeremy: the thought of the irony did come out in the meeting. We're all trying to figure out this new world. Dennis: they are really trying to open up and are trying to figure out how to deal with the FriendFeed/Twitter world. press@google.com for Dennis Howlett: they will answer you, I am assured. - Robert Scoble
@Karim: heh-heh, couldn't resist, could you? :) Ahh - "1949". My bad. Amazing though - proof that I never really need to remember anything any more. Google IS my mind now, and I am just the ghost in the machine. - Bob Kingsley
Yes, when are they actually going to start doing proper PR: ie, reaching out on product launches + interesting announcement. Second: is Google PR the laziest PR job in the world? - Duncan Riley
Duncan: I met with nearly everyone in PR. It was about 40 people. That represents hundreds of products and teams. You should write them at press@google.com and build a relationship. You can have my slot on the lawn. I want other stuff from Google like help making my audience smarter. Being on the Techmeme game isn't what I want to do anymore. - Robert Scoble
@robert: that post about trying to figure out this new world. I know you mean the marketing aspects, but it reminds of Kurzweil and his efforts towrads fabulous tech that he's collaborating with larry Page, et al http://www.kurzweilai.net/ Wow. Sorry to off topic but I'm blown away about what this "new world" will be. - Lee Bautista
Robert: what was the take-aways from your visit with Google's PR folks today? - Susan Beebe
Whens the OSX release of Googletalk? - Colby Olson
@Bjorn - unless you've ever actually DONE some PR for a living, I think it's pretty narrowminded to denigrate an entire industry. I've known plenty of engineers who have contributed very little to projects... - Jeremy Toeman
Oh, Robert, please ask them: Why they position Knol as wiki killer??? I think if it is two or more encyclopaedias it will great. Why they don't live by win-win strategy?? thanks a lot - Misha
Bjorn: as much as I often am in conflict with PR people, I totally reject your statement here. These people put up with a lot so that those engineers at Google don't have to deal with constantly taking care of press people. In particular, I find that most professional PR people don't spin me at all, they just try to get me in touch with who I want to talk with. - Robert Scoble
