It seems Apple conferences have changed from a time when devotees worship the future of computing to a time when derision and ridicule is heaped upon Apple for being backward and derivative? Maybe Google+ isn't the right place to make this determination? Maybe my stream has been unconsciously crafted by me so this is what I want to see? Photo retailers have auto enhanced images for a long time. Google isn't the first to do it. You will find automatic image enhancement on most retail sites. The difference is Google pushes the enhanced image at you while the retailer are hesitant to put the enhanced image forward without the customer requesting it.

Wow, this is really neat! And it links into the idea I expressed earlier, re: reducing signup friction / enabling limited guest privileges. Imagine if I could embed one of my FF rooms on my personal web site, and enable people to subscribe to that feed by e-mail with just a couple of clicks... rather than saying "you can get e-mail notifications but you have to sign up for Friendfeed first." "sign up" -- though admirably lightweight on FF -- is still a huge barrier.

I think the technology is advancing so fast, features are not as important as carriers, ecosystem, and connectivity to other devices. For now I'll stick with apple, but in a year maybe if google glass matures, and one cannot easily connect to google glass with an iphone, maybe getting android might matter.

The biggest thing is HARDWARE. Google Glass Version 1 is going to be old within two years. What will glass generation 3 look like? The app ecospace will evolve, hardware less so. We get stuck with deployed hardware for years. Look at old android devices in the market. Apple could take glass market share with new sensors like eye tracking.

Robert is right. Context knowledge is important, but it can be learned and transferred. Imagine if users intentionally entered or set their context. Then Facebook/google's unique knowledge becomes less important. If users start being willing to establish or publish their context(s) this whole context landscape will change.
