Yes, indeed. Identifying and data mining binary preferences (I like this more than I like that) provides a much more fine-tuned understanding of one's mind and tastes than merely looking at likes and dislikes. There is probably a major commercial potential in developing software to manage "prefers" (as well as likes and dislikes).
