The pit crew have always had personal trainers and physios. {Comment #367} They have had some input from trainers and physios (at least since the introduction of refuelling and probably before then for the richer teams), but before now it wasn't so intense because pit speed was largely determined by the lollipop man plus the fuel hose people (and of course the amount of fuel in a given stop). Doing it correctly was more important for most members than doing it quickly, so once the procedure was mastered, there was relatively little gain from additional practise.
