don't use gmail multiple inboxes plugin with no filter. it really breaks gmail. (luckly I browsed directly to the settings hashtag.) #gmail

(зачем мне это нужно – слишком много меток накопилось, около 100; например, я перестала рассовывать уведомления соц. сетей по разным меткам, и он теперь весь скопом валится в socialnetworks)

процедура:

1. долго роюсь в настройках, нахожу привязанный к метке фильтр, редактирую его, чтобы прикреплялась новая метка, заодно применяю её к старым письмам

2. удаляю старую метку

явно это нужно делать одним кликом, а не пятнадцатью. короче говоря, меткам хочется добавить действие «объединить»/«переименовать», и чтобы фильтры при этом тоже менялись.

при попытке объединить метки естественным способом (переименование) появляется сообщение «The label name you have chosen already exists. Please try another name:» Ясен пень, exists, я и хочу их слить!

^это если попытаться переименовать из списка слева. а если в настройки зайти и оттуда попытаться переименовать, то и вовсе всё глючит, без сообщения об ошибке.

Не то, чтобы я с этим сталкивалась уже, но могу себе представить эту ситуацию.

меток должно быть а) счётное множество, т.е. 7 и б) любое удобное число дополнительных для быстрого доступа к актуальному чему-надо. тогда и таких проблем возникать не будет.

@orie так и станет. копипаст условие -- применить ко всем -- удаляем. если надо транслировать один раз из одного тега в другой. ну и/или условия дописывать.

@amrok не поняла. что куда копипастить? что применить ко всем? у меня есть двадцать фильтров вида (1) from:(*youtube*) -- Skip Inbox, Apply label "youtube"; (2) subject:Linkedin -- Skip Inbox, Apply label "LinkedIn" и т.д.

Вы, коллега, делите информацию по источникам, тогда как стоит делить по классам. а внутри socialnetworks, или в моём случае это +notify, искать уже ручками, если вдруг приспичит конкретное отфильтровать.

→ Communications is going to be extremely important for eight days (two of which are spent on a plane). I do need to figure out today (within the next 6 hours) which websites are blocked and which websites are open so we can #communicate. There must be a way to reroute around the block, via proxies; so that information must be looked up. Also, we've figured that there is a possibility of going through #work to get around the Firewall.
