#Today -- Happy Winter Solstice 2009, all. Today is the day for celebration, for those who are of the Pagan belief and those who are of the #Wiccan faith. Blessed be to those of the practiced belief of the rebirth of the Great God and solstice of the sun on this Sabbat. (More information below, if interested; & of other religions)

→ Today is marked as the day in which our Earth is at a tilt farthest away from the sun, thus today will be the shortest day for the suns light; thus is the Solstice of the sun. Those of other religions may remark that today is the shortest day for the sun’s light without knowing the Pagan/Wiccan significance behind such event.

→ Today is distinctive globally, as it is the recognition of rebirth; that rebirth is celebrated by holiday festivals, gatherings, rituals, and a mass of world-wide celebrations.
