"Eyebeam (http://eyebeam.org) is the leading not-for-profit art and technology center in the United States. Founded in 1996 and incorporated in 1997, Eyebeam was conceived as a non-profit art and technology center dedicated to exposing broad and diverse audiences to new technologies and media arts, while simultaneously establishing and demonstrating new media as a significant genre of cultural production. Since its founding, Eyebeam has supported more than 130 fellowships and residencies for artists and creative technologists. Eyebeam organizes open studios twice a year, and I had the pleasure to visit one of them by invitation of Matthew Borgatti, a designer + technologist I met on Flickr a few weeks before the opening. Here are some highlights from my collection of photographs and video interviews conducted during the show. Because of this very long post, I have created jump links here: +1 Sculpture: OMG LOL +2 Electronics on Canvas: Les Années Lumière by Ayah Bdeir +3 Fairytale...

"I'm unusually enthusiastic about this holiday season. I've already started making gifts and holiday decorations. I made a few handmade LED snowflake ornaments that I would like to share with the community. They are super-easy to make and only take about 15-20 minutes each (depends on how long you experiment with the beading). This is the first project that I've really "beaded" but I can imagine such beautiful forms from crafters/makers with actual beading experience."

"Fractal images are basically about an imagination, almost all designer specially graphic and web designer are getting inspiration from the sharp images and they are also use fractal images for inspiration. And if you are designer so i think this practice is very best and better for your next work, because fractal images is just like pixel base and lines based images, and many time have little bit distortion in a good way. specially colors and edges are very sharp most of the time, and designer and people attract to fractal images because they are sharp in a sober way. i hope my words are good or may be not, so don’t be hesitate and comment at the bottom box."
