"Gwibber, the social networking framework, is invoked with D-Bus activation. That means that the daemon won't start until something actually tries to use it."

"One of the nice features in Ubuntu's screen-profiles is that it has a simple menu item that you can use to configure it to start automatically at login."

"Perhaps you missed this part? "I've been running the it since the beginning of the month, when I installed it from a daily CD image." A month is surely enough time to make such a conclusion on the basis of actual testing."

"The article includes this quote from Jim Whitehurst: "Our value proposition is even more compelling in a challenging economic environment, and we believe that's a key driver to our solid financial results and market share gains.""

"Python bindings are already available for the GTK+ WebKit component. I'm using it in Gwibber, my open source microblogging client for GNOME. The GTK+ WebKit port basically works, but it's missing a big chunk of the functionality that you get with WebKit in Qt, such as the ability to embed native widgets in HTML and the ability to expose native functions up through the JavaScript layer in the web content."

What do you think? I think pages for stuff like gaming reviews, and events like E3/CES/WWDC/MacWorld would be pretty awesome too.

I tried something like this at the first Google Testing Conference. We created a flickr group: http://flickr.com/groups... and set up a flickr slideshow that played through all the photos in the group. We did occasionally have to restart it though.
