Just opened my '01 iBook G3. Still works well, screen looks good. Has OS 9 AND X. Bonus! And I just spent how much on a new MacBook Pro?!?

I should have said: We got a PG&E SmartMeter and it blew up our DirecTV box. Dumb. DirecTV is in a giving mood and is sending a new one.
