I would like to start my blog completely fresh. I want to delete/or move the current blog install to an archive directory, and install fresh, start over. I don't have many visitors at this point, so I don't think starting over would be a huge deal. Any suggestions/advice?
I'd still like to start the blog from scratch though. Same name, URI...new content....

I guess my next question is, is if I do start fresh (no previous content), and I have a new sitemap, will the search crawlers remove the old content from the search database eventually?
- Beau Liening
Yes, they'll eventually remove the content, but it'll take a while for each search engine to purge it.

Since most of theblog content is personal stuff, maybe I should export it and import it to my other domain and start the current domain from scratch. Is there an easy way to forward all those post addresses to the new domain once they're moved?

In this blog post, I'm going to share our top recommendations for achieving on-page, keyword-targeting "perfection," or, at least, close to it. Some of these are backed by data points, correlation studies and extensive testing while others are simply gut-feelings based on experience.
