This 04 is ten years on, and is still pretty damn fresh. I like how it evolves from black cherry to smoke/toast to dried fruit #RiojaBuzz
At 1WD HQ, we went crazy & cooked up Spanish style cod (yes, I am serious) with the 04 Campo Viejo. Totally worked.
Interesting thing about Campo Viejo's Gran Reserva the mix of oak, 80% French and 20% American. Still gets classic GR nose, tho #RiojaBuzz

Currant fruit on the Crianza is generous. Another crowd pleaser, especially for the $. I like that the abv is on the lighter side #RiojaBuzz

This Crianza strikes me as "modern" in a way, in terms of the oak and depth of fruit. But it's also really bright & fresh. #RiojaBuzz

The 12 El Coto Rosado reminds me of wild raspberries. And I know this because they (the raspberries, not Rosados) grow in my yard #RiojaBuzz
Rioja is lucky in that, being a stellar red wine region, it can make really nice rose as well from the same grapes. Kind of rare #RiojaBuzz
