A great accomplishment! Great to see donations picking up this year as nonprofits and their supporters become more savvy about leveraging the tool and channel. Congrats, all!

From networking to fundraising, 10 uses of Twitter by nonprofit social entrepreneurs -- with examples of each use. A super, practical post.

Thanks for this post. I'm trying to use FriendFeed more, and you've given some really good ideas.

Beth, thanks so much for highlighting my presentation - wow! I really need to step up my game as far as getting one single blog to represent me so your readers can find out more about me.

Thanks for the post - very timely. I am coordinating a FF room a conference this weekend: http://extremebusinessmakeovers.com/live-fr... Many are in Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn, but see more social media uses during the event. I'm looking for something like a Flickr phot groups - but for video that users upload later. Youtube groups is hard to find and doesn't embed. Ideas?
- Courtney Engle
@scobleizer - check out Beth's blog - I think she's on the path to bringing in less tech. Are we finally ready for FF to be used for other things beyond techies talking about tech? can we be ready for average web users to talk about just anything? and for this to become common?
- Courtney Engle
I just realized I can use TweetDeck to solve the problem I mentioned of too much Twitter to FF input. By Feeding my FaceBook status to FriendFeed instead, then only sending valuable or interesting tweets to FB status, my FF only gets the good stuff and not nine million @s using the new TweetDeck with FaceBook beta, keeping FB box unchecked til used
For those of us who tweet in the 1000s, we want to spare our FB and FF friends the noise and add value instead :) Hoping this helps others

To date, (Lil) Green Patch has donated $124,506 to the Nature Conservancy... they're amazing!
- Jonathon Colman
I have to admit I was skeptical of Lil Green Patch at first. I didn't get how playing a game could save some rainforest. But once I understood that the sponsors were actually donating money I felt good about using it. It's the only game I play on Facebook.

Hmmm yeah, I never accept these... maybe I should. Have you seen the similar service one for MLK Day?
