Chris, from a personal perspective I like the accountability that a social network provides because I must have integrity about the things I express. Almost like the coaching of the crowds. Social networks also provide most of my personal learning environment as I collaborate with with others. - Mark Prasatik

I think this is a whole new world both for people looking for information, and for companies looking for customers. It reminds me when the Google Search/Google AdWords tandem started working... - Alex Barredo
Astonishing. This taps up in my Friendfeed, shortly after I've posted about why I blog and twitter. For me, it's about learning, and recording what I learn and what my interests are. - Steve Ellwood
I started using the tools as a sort of personal experiment to see if I could connect with other people that enjoy road culture. Not many of my friends or family understand my interests so where else to take it? I also wanted to record my little travel adventures better. So many trips and so many places and I have nary a photo to show for it, so sharing it all with people interested in that sort of thing is a good motivation to stop and record more. It’s all met with mixed success. Posted in both comment sections, btw. - Jim Stanger

Excellent tips Chris. I often imagine myself starting a new blog from scratch and understand that it would be hard to remember exactly what to do in a step-by-step manner. This list could really help any novice blogger to figure out the procedures involved. - Svetlana Gladkova

Kick butt post. And a great discussion on how to hire (and what to look for) in a different types of community managers for an organization. How macro or micro to focus is a good question. - Mitchell Tsai

Very smart move. You had to do that after AlertThingy integrated a Twitter interface, but I guess it's been in development for some time. At least, it works fine. - Thomas Frütel

good piece of work - really adds value to twhirl ...via twhirl - Steve Ellwood
I just gave a feedback in your blog. It needs two features immediately to reduce the noise level. The first one is a tabbed windows format instead of two separate windows for twitter and friendfeed. The second one is about cutting down certain services. In my friendfeed account, I have removed a few things like some people's flickr photos/twitter messages/diggs. It doesn't show up in their web interface but it shows up in Twhirl. I think this feature is needed immediately to reduce the noise level. - Krish
