shamam on Uninsured American living in Japan sees a doctor: "...when I get 3 prescriptions filled in 5 minutes and they are SORRY they have to charge me a whopping 30 bucks for it, and I see people back home paying many times that, I have to wonder how we're managing to do things just this wrong." - http://www.reddit.com/r...
"I was a long time Quicksilver fan and evangelist but I recently switched to Alcor's new project, [Google Quick Search Box](http://code.google.com/p...). It's not as feature-rich as QS but feels more stable and is still under development, unlike QS (yes I'm aware of the branches)."

"Hot rocks aren't all that great for Iguanas. Cheap ones develop hot spots which can burn the animal. Reptiles, not being all that bright, will sit there and burn. An overhead heat lamp is better. If you end up keeping it long term, you'll need a full spectrum bulb, aka 'vita-light'. You should be feeding it dark leafy greens, but not spinach. Spinach has too much calcium for them, IIRC. Romain lettuce, okra, various fruits are good choices. [This site](http://www.anapsid.org/) has been the definitive Iguana care resource for many years. It's been many years since I've raised Iguanas, this is just off the top of my head. I'm on a train right now and my connection is spotty so I can't double check what I just told you, but this should point you in the right direction."

"That's an abandoned hospital on Roosevelt island, it's not on Manhattan island. I'm guessing the photographer was actually in Long Island City: [http://maps.google.com/maps... 101890582075587286955.000477e2936db983fd6d8](http://maps.google.com/maps... 101890582075587286955.000477e2936db983fd6d8)"

shamam on I found this fellow in our backyard. It was somehow charming; followed my every move, became nervous in the presence of my cat and seemed "happy" when I put it back outside. My parents said it could have harmed me. Everyone seems to think they're dangerous. Anyone knows if they actually are? - http://www.reddit.com/r...
