I decided to not pursue an acting career in my younger years. I've become a competitive ballroom dancer, which satisfies my showmanship needs. LOL

I'm unable to say what I want about this subject in mixed company. Just know that I have very strong feelings about this issue. Haynesworth isn't helping himself, the #Skins or the sport of football.

I don't understand this vitriolic hatred to us. I understand we haven't been the best world neighbors, though we haven't been the worst by far.

This is human error, plain & simple. It does make me wonder, if the planes are *that* close to each other, exactly how small is the airport?

DC is the bestest place ever to celebrate July 4th. The city gets all warm & fuzzy with Stars & Stripes waving all over the place.

Everyone has a part to play in rebuilding this skyscraper, from the bus driver / subway operator who gets folks to work safely - to the architect / designer - to the concrete mixer - to the payroll clerk.

This is wonderful news. While memorials and resolutions mean little to those who are now dead, to those of us alive, we appreciate the recognition of our ancestors. I know a lot of folks get tired of hearing Blacks talk about slavery, even many Blacks get tired of talking/hearing about it. All I can say is that it's a Black thing. Just a Jews keep the Holocaust in the forefront of people's minds, Black folks work to keep slavery in the forefront. Jews and Blacks want to make sure humanity never forgets and never lets it happen again.

I'm not into memorabilia. I respect those who are and appreciate the fact that folks out there are willing to house our cultural artifacts. Is this a cultural artifact?

It saddens me almost more than anything else, when I learn of our inhumanity to each other. It is a fundamental lack of recognition of the victims humanity, their similarity to the aggressor and their right to a life w/ dignity.

I have the utmost respect for Angelina Jolie, her acting ability is not the question. My question is for the producers and director, who think she has "the perfect look." And while Egyptians do not have as much melanin as their Central, East and West African brothers and sisters, they certainly have more than Angelina naturally possesses. Didn't we move past white folks playing Black roles sometime in the 70s and 80s?
