So, what works for you: original, corrected, or over (IMHO) corrected?

My point being, I have wrinkles, my skin isnt perfect. Sure #3 is pretty but it isnt me. I'm good with a little color correction but too much is too much and I dont look real anymore. - Shannon - GlassMistress
I think you answered your own question just fine. :) #2 Is good. - Scoble, Alex Scoble
The last one is very warm but looks unreal enough that I would go with #2. - John (bird whisperer)
I like the middle one. - Yolanda
I did all three, but really just to make a point. I think a little photoshop is fine but most people go way, way overboard. I'd love to be the smooth skinned, wrinkle free person in #3 but I'm not and I dont think its really honest to present myself otherwise. This is really just a rant against too much 'shop. - Shannon - GlassMistress
#2 & #3 are to yellow. The first one looks the most natural. Whoever did number 3 needs to calibrate their monitor! - Jeff P. Henderson
Ironically I think that Jeff needs to calibrate his monitor...#1 is too cold. - Scoble, Alex Scoble
i have to agree with pea on this. - Joe The Sausage
#3 definitely looks a little much by comparison. Agree with Alex that #1 appears cold, so #2 is my fav. Either way you go, the eyes and smile set off the whole photo. Actually, #3 even kills the smile a little. Wow. Completely changes the expression. - Rah-PM 2012
I'm with you about not shopping "the person" I don't do much editing to my shots either. I will admit to taking out a couple blemishes and one some of them I might get rid of the bags from under my eyes - but those are very few and very far between. If they don't love us how we are - fuck 'em! :) - Nathalie
for record, I also like the 1st one. I tend to prefer the colder shots. - Nathalie
I like the first one, too. The others are too yellow. I don't know too many people with that eye & hair color with that much yellow in their skin (myself included). Fair skinned, blond haired, blue eyed people tend to be a lot pinker than other people. Yes you can tone it down, but not by adding yellow, which just looks unnatural. I think the only time you should mess with the color of a photo of someone in that particular category is when their skin looks too blue. - April
I like the color adjustment of the #2, but I believe you should keep those nice wrinkles and the tiny freckles! :-) The beauty is the diversity not in homogeneity. - Éric Senterre
Thanks for all the comments everyone. My opinion of shop is this: A little 'makeup' (#2) is fine but 'plastic surgery' (#3) is not the way to go. - Shannon - GlassMistress
