I need a bag. Something that is not quite a purse and not quite a tote. I dont carry much but what I do carry is bulky: camera, full size wallet, zip bag of emergency items (tiny flash light, tweezers, scissors, asprin, bandaids), cell phone, iPad, and a few small loose items like pens, mints and note pad. Any suggestions?
I have two Timbuk2 messenger bags. They last forever and if anything breaks, ever, you can send the bag in and they'll send you store credit for a replacement bag. Also got my wife their cargo tote which she liked well enough but wished it had a longer removable strap to use for the shoulder. Which bag were you considering from them?

I have a PacSafe bag that I love. It holds my Nikon d7000 and all my other goodies without being bulky. Plus, it's slashproof. :)

I have a timbuk2 that I got YEARS ago. It's stood up to multiple uses. I love it. :)

I'm considering the FreeStyle for iPad. Cheap it isnt but it appears to have the features I'm looking for. My biggest hesitation is that I tend to prefer a shoulder bag ranther than a cross body.
