Shannon - GlassMistress
I suppose its wrong that this makes me want to cry a little, but dammit I kinda got the shaft. This is one of the other glass artist / metal smith pieces. Granted the bead is by someone I greatly admire and I'd be jealous of that alone but still ..... ok, whine over.

Also, there was just a big crack of thunder and loss of power ... kiln has lost its program, contents are forefit *cries some more* - Shannon - GlassMistress
What means contents are forfeit? Why can't you get your stuff out when the power comes back on? - Mary B: #TeamMonique
Or is the stuff ruined because the firing got messed up? - Mary B: #TeamMonique
The bead in the pic is nice, and I know what you mean. Sometimes it's depressing to see work that fells like I'm getting left in the dirt. - Mary B: #TeamMonique
The temp dropped too fast when the power went out. The pieces wouldnt be stable (very likely cracked). If they arent cracked I'll rerun the fire and see what happens. As for the piece I'm just whinining b/c the metal smith that did my piece in the same show tried her hardest to hide the bead (or at least is seems that way) - Shannon - GlassMistress
I hope your kiln contents aren't cracked. :( - Heather
Thanks Heather. It wasnt an overly great bunch of stuff so it wont be a big loss if it is; its just frustrating. - Shannon - GlassMistress
*hugs* Hope your beads are ok. And I love your work no matter what. *MOAR HUGS* - LB: #TeamMonique
That metalsmith took the bead and showcased it. Hope you don't lose your current pieces. - Anne Bouey
Unfortunately, your metalsmith apparently missed the point of the whole thing, which was to create a setting that was complementary to your bead. That is what this metalsmith did. I'd be upset in your place because you got a crappy deal. However, keep in mind that you do lovely work and a huge group of people know that. *hugs* - Running Slow
