I respectfully throw myself at the feet of the Court Of FriendFeed and beg for special dispensation since I have only learnt that Friday the 5th of June is Donut Day at 1am on Saturday the 6th. I seek leave to engage in the festivities one day later to atone for my trespass on this most......... wait for it.......... holey day
You doughnut-picture-posting folks are just cruel. I never buy donuts but that photo the other day with the young guy munching the donut must have worked on me subliminally cuz when I got back from lunch I discovered I had stopped at Starbucks and bought an apple fritter.

You cannot petition the FriendFeed with donuts...

may everyday be a holey day for you :D

I've decided, Johnny, that we can celebrate it today :D A holey day indeed :)

Thank you my FF Secret Santa. So excited to use my calligraphy set! The card only mentions my "FF Secret Santa" so if you'd like to privately reveal yourself, please to be sending me a DM :) Thank you again!!
"There are a lot of people in the entertainment industry who don’t get the recognition they deserve: CGI actors, crafts services, janitors, third assistant directors, the list goes on and on. On that list, alongside all the script supervisors but put in vastly more physical danger are the stuntpeople. They may not get to make the speeches at the Golden Globes, but we see the efforts of their work in every action and superhero movie and TV show we watch, and in plenty of other places as well. Flavorwire put together a great (and thorough) slideshow of actor and their stunt doubles, but let’s take a look at some of the ladies behind our favorite ladies"

Here's how the bench turned out from a few weekends ago. Forgot to post the update after asking for suggestions on build. Just under 8 ft. Tough to tell but comfy with the three angles on the back rest. Those were biggest pain lacking a scroll saw.
Now 2/3rd's done with last years summer project :)
- SteVe C
That looks great Steve! Love the one piece of accent color along the back. Hope to see this yard in person someday.
- SAM
How did you make your cuts there without a scroll/band/jig saw?
- SAM
I used my little hand held jig saw and did each 2x10 individually then attached two together for each of the three bases. Ain't perfect but didn't need to be pretty since it's hidden.
- SteVe C
but what about that deck floor?!? thats what i wanted but my sqft area was just too large to make it work. love the bench too. the edging really sets it apart.
- Lnorigb
Very cool! How is TREX holding up at Mossicorn? I have it spec'd on a job and it will be our first go with the product.
- JA Castillo
It's perfect for our environment. We had a nearly 1000 sqft deck in North Bend that was TREX too... love it in both places.
- SAM
Hey, there's a fence! And a bench! And I heard there is some turf. It's looking really good, Steve. May have to come visit sometime soon so we can see it (and eat any and all fruits/veggies that you are growing).
- Janelle Scarpelli
We used Azek instead of Trex so that there is zero wood in the decking material - nothing to mildew or get buggy like a composite can. But it's all personal preference and appearance. We used Trex railing for the look, it annoyed the hell out of me as the 8 foot rails are really 7' 6", the no cutting needed balusters were too long and had to be cut, and two of the three boxes were missing hardware.
- SteVe C
Ah... cool to know. I haven't used Azek before.

One of you better bring me back some cheese.

OMG. I got trained for it back in Brentwood. Dottoressa Mannino taught it to us in Italian class, should we ever have need of it. #crazy

The adult male Painted Bunting is one of the most colorful of all U.S.-breeding birds, with a deep blue head, red underparts and rump, and lime-green back. In Louisiana it is also called nonpareil, French for “without equal“ - a fitting term for this gorgeous bird. The female is a cryptic yellowish-green; first-year males also sport this more... - http://dendroica.tumblr.com/post...
