We ordered pictures of Joelito from kickball and just got them back today, and I think the little baseball card ones are awful. The picture of Joel and Joelito in the first one looks like a collage I made in 6th grade. And what is up with the font? I'm no designer, but sheesh.
"I can’t believe Thanksgiving is barely over a week away! I love this time of year and all of the flavors and smells that come along with it. One of my favorite flavors of this season is pumpkin, and I find myself drawn to all of the pumpkin flavored goodies out there. So when I saw these cupcakes, I knew I had to make them. These were everything I was hoping for, but even though I liked the frosting, I’d recommend leaving it off because the cupcakes are good enough without it. And that way, you can call them a muffin and have one for breakfast!"

Corelle is awesome. I am thinking about ordering a set.

Mine is plain white, pretty much looks like the first photo. Easy to dress up with event appropriate tablecloths if I get a wild hair.

I have two sets of dishes, and the Corelles are the ones I let my roommates use (they broke more than their fair share of my IKEA stoneware dishes *grumble*). I grew up on these plates and they are AWESOME. I'm pretty sure in a nuclear holocaust, the only survivors would be the roaches AND the Corelle.

My internet was down when I got up this morning. I was about to call the National Guard and start a bonfire in the living room.

Not nearly as much fun as making those wine cork turkeys. =)

"FOR cooks, most Thanksgiving problems are brought about by the sheer number of dishes competing for the stove: It’s not easy to roast a turkey and sweet potatoes for 20 at the same time. The best solution is to make food in advance, like one of the dishes that follow. Unlike my earlier 101 compendiums, this one has some recipes that take an hour or more. Still, most are pretty quick. Almost all can be served at room temperature, although the soups should be reheated. Salting to taste is always a given. And if I don’t specify a temperature, “roast” or “bake” means a 375-degree oven."

"It's a unique concept according to its creators, a hotel in the French town of Nantes is offering the chance for people to become a hamster. For 99 euros ($148.10) a night, you can eat hamster grain, run in a giant wheel and sleep in hay stacks in what is called the "Hamster Villa." Maud and Sebastien are the first ones to experience how hamsters live, not afraid at the thought of sleeping in hay or feeding on a hamster fountain and special grain. It's a unique experience and, the guests say, just something different. "To become a hamster, eat seeds, change our way of life...come out of our daily routine" Maud and Sebastien told Reuters TV.."

"The owners, Frederic Tabary and Yann Falquerho, run a company which rents out unusual and bizarre places. "The Hamster in the world of children is that little cuddly animal. Often, the adults who come here have wanted or did have hamsters when they were small," Falquerho said, dressed as a hamster. However, the price is soon to go up as today's hamsters need, according to the owners, Wifi and a giant TV screen."

"This clever vase comes flat, as thin as a sheet of cardboard. To mold it, you just fill it with hot water and hand form it to any shape you want. You then empty the vase and refill it with cold water to freeze the shape. After use, you can re-flatten it for storage by putting it back in hot water and smoothing it flat."
