@kirillcool the J1 2009 CFP came out in the second week of December. My thought is that we should know by the new year if J1 2010 is a go.

That's why the worst possible (science) outcome of the LHC would be to find the Higgs Boson, it would merely conform existing theory.
Science is never done. Science is about proving existing theories wrong and creating new theories in light of new evidence.
I reflexivly disbelieve anyone who ever says "the science is done."
@kirillcool Looks like Sun is realizing what a mistake deprecating Swing would be. MS didn't ditch MFC when WPF came out.
Embedding a swing frame in a JavaFX stage is 100% the wrong migration path for most existing busniess/enterprise Swing Apps.
My one wish for the JavaFX 1.3 SDK: a sample where they take SwingSet 2 or 3 and add a tab that is embedded JavaFX.
If you tell a business to re-write an app to take advantage of JavaFX, they will re-write. But it will be in Flex of Silverlight not JavaFX.
@JonathanGiles considering how sun canibalized the swing team expecting parity very soon doesn't seem unreasonable.

What is funny about the J2ME/Android articles is that the exact same comparisons to HTML/Android result in an opposite conclusion.
