I think that link diversity is a very important thing to work on, because the whole point to getting in good with Google is having links that look natural. So having all of your incoming links sitting on other site's link exchange page is going to send up a flag to Google that you are participating in unnatural link building and possibly cost your site valuable positioning in SERPs. "Hi Kristi, I was lucky when I only ran b2evo blogs because many of the auto spam posters only searched Wordpress. Now, they also search b2 blogs. I still have the fact that the b2 script plug in for comment luv is named something else so, I avoid those searches. I have moderated comments on most of our blogs, but 1 blog is just open with no time limits, another blog has no comments allowed. So, it just depends on the topic how I set the comments. Like Brian said it is normally the older post that get all the garbage. I even went as far as Blacklisting Blogspot & that really cut down my spam comments. @Ned, It is funny in a way but also sad that so many people have been misinformed. I think that many people have heard that it is not beneficial to get all your links from 1 site & they take that to mean only 1 link per domain. Yet, like is pointed out in the video if a site wants to link to different pages of your site then it is great. @Bill, I agree that you need all types of links from different domains & site types. Some people tend to only do bookmarking sites, forums, or blogs. When it is much better to have all those types of sites giving you links. ;-) @Heinrich, I spent far to long getting confused by 'not so expert expert'. I had my head spinning until I just picked a few & found I got results from their advise. If they normally go to certain sites for a type of info will they get stuck always seeing those same ones or will they get results for sites they may have never been to? It makes it really hard to see where you sit in the SERP’s if checking your incoming keyword phrases from analytics. Not sure how we will know who our competition is. We know we get differnt results depending on where you live but, now it will depend on where you “normally” go. It may not even have anything to do with not getting results, I think that sometimes I just get bored. Sire, Yes we are all close enough together to talk, see each other...Just not so close that we can slap each other. ;-) Using Skype is the easiest way to send word docs or entire files. Since Brad, Cait, and I all file things differently on our computers, we each get our own "copy" that we can easily get to on our own machine. I can also send Cait a link to an article that might be useful and she can pick it up when she gets online...We live on Skype. Hi Mitch! Cait doesn't want to sell burgers and french fries. She works on task with Brad and I both and will be much more rounded in her abilities. She has also gotten to see our mistakes and won't have to make the same ones. @Spacetime, I sure could never get things done as well on my own.
