One thing I've noticed -- the app icons are gone from posts. No more "discrimination" against Non-FF posts.
Yeah, what's the deal with this? Kind of a bummer. - Steve Isaacs
All content is equal — the way it should be. - Evan Brown
It still tells you where posts come from, but yeah it now requires you to read which is slower. - Scoble, Alex Scoble
I said the same thing. Probably my favorite change. - shaun mclane
+1 Alex - Shey
My head hurts guys, it's going too fast:( - Gordon Swaby
I actually liked the icon displaying, it was a quick way to reference the information's source and context. - Dean "Karnatos" Michaud
@Karnatos I don't understand why it matters - Shey
I actually like that. Now it looks like I actually post here often. LOL. - Justin Whitaker
The count on FF posts lets me know when if ever I can expect an item's author to respond to a comment. Non-imported comments are also a good predictor for that. - Daniel J. Pritchett
On the other hand, better email/im integration would suck in casual FF posters to their conversations and then I could stop being a "native FF post" snob, which would be even better. - Daniel J. Pritchett
I never felt biased towards ff entries, was there really a thing about them?!! - Dobromir Hadzhiev
I had a huge bias towards them because it's always more fun commenting on a post you can be sure the author will actually track. It's no fun tossing a comment into the wind on a feed where the author won't see your comment for a week if ever. - Daniel J. Pritchett
I agree with Daniel, I like knowing where the post is coming from. For something like Disqus it doesn't make sense at all if the comment just shows up without context. And I know that if someone posted to FriendFeed then they will probably expect the conversation to be on FriendFeed, whereas if it's an import then they'll probably expect the conversation to be on the source... Discussion is what makes FF great... if you can't get the discussion going where it's expected it dies. - Lindsay
Like it's been said. It still tells you, but it's not instantly recognizable - Shey
But it also does not let me "force feed" for instance, the import from a single source, e.g., twitter or blog. Is that correct? - Bora Zivkovic
I want the icons back! I never "discriminated." Who the F discriminates on only liking FF posts?! That's just wrong. I like to know where I was going when I clicked a link w/o having to hover over a link then reading the status bar. - Zulema ❧ spicy cocoa tart
I want them back too, but only because I like to easily sort FF by service - Shey
That's huge. - dpurrington
This is the single biggest misstep in the redesign if you ask me. - Andrew Smith
