Interesting, like holly, they aren't my thing, but I thought they'd be a yay for many people. The 16 year old thought nay, but mostly because they "look like they're for old people."

"1. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter, try on a pair of Fluevog Shoes inside any Fluevog store, then simply fill out the entry form with your name, city, email and telephone number. Entrants can be entered only once a day without purchase of pair of shoes, boots, or bag. If shoes are purchased instore, each pair gives you an additional entry. Trying on a bag does not give you an entry into the contest, but purchase of a bag will allow you entry into the contest. The purchase or trying on of accessories that are not a bag, do not count towards this contest. 2. ONLINE orders will be automatically entered into the contest. Each pair of shoes, boots, or bag will determine how many entries are submitted."

I might have different brands' versions of a few of those.
- Katy S
#16 were the only ones I wore. Agree with all the others though.
- Anika
I still have some similar to #16 in camel - they're probably one of the most comfy everyday shoes I have.
- Katy S
LOL, I had #1.. well, the Nine West knockoff. They were so. damn. comfortable. Also, #7. #13 were the BEST DAMN SHOES EVER -- I wore them to every single pep band game I played for at WSU. Then again, with the dig at Fluevog in the second pick, I suddenly question their taste levels in general. Why the hate for heeled black loafers? They still have those. I think I still have #17 somewhere.
- Jennifer Dittrich
Hmm, I still have 1, 6, and 16 in my closet. I am officially old and tasteless. ;)

I had the Payless versions of some of those. I wore embroidered Mary Janes (my mom called them Mao slippers) throughout the 80s. And I've always hated jellies because sweaty.

"The chances of winning the lottery are higher than finding the one, especially when there are so many people in the world. But with a little luck one might be fortunate enough to meet their solemate. Inspired by the magical moment when John and his lovely wife met, John created The Fortune to be a classically beautiful pump with a gorgeous silhouette. Handcrafted in Peru, The Fortune features leather soles and leather wrapped 3.25" heels, with an x-shaped leather interlace for accentuation in lucky leathers, leaving nothing to Fate. Practice the Daily Miracle of Giving."

Four pairs of shoes came today (I'm only letting myself keep 2 pairs). My feet are swollen, though. I probably shouldn't have tried them on right now b/c even my old shoes don't feel quite right. Still, I'm speculating about which ones will be The Ones.
My only hesitation with those is that I have another pair that is almost exactly the same and I really don't need near-identical shoes. The black danskos were fairly comfy despite the swollen feet, so I might choose those for the black option.

I love the Born shoes, but I also love that the Jambus have a velcro strap. I'm lazy. I'm also torn.
- Katy S
I'm trying them all again. I want them all. These could be my first Danskos, but I think that the Docs will give me better winter coverage. I'm trying to decide if I like the danskos well enough to return them along with the born and jambu and then get the danskos in brown.
- Katy S
I like the docs and the born best but they are all nice :)
- adf
I can't begin to tell you how tempted I was to order the Born in purple.
- Katy S
I still haven't completely decided which of the shoes I want.
- Katy S
Current plan is to be practical. I'll keep the docs since they provide better winter coverage. As much as I like the Born, I'll just regret that I didn't get the purple, and the Jambu are more practical for my needs right now. I still want the Danskos, though. I told myself I'd only get 2 pairs since I need them, but if I were to get a third pair, I'd get these.
- Katy S
I still have not returned any of the shoes. I've only worn one pair (the Jambu) and I'm keeping the Docs, but the Danskos still tempt me. I just need to pack them up and return them with the Born.
- Katy S
Currently walking around in these with socks (though in a no-longer available color - mine are brown/copperish). They were 24.99 when I got them and I thought they might be good for next summer and not hurting a lot a ALA. - http://www.6pm.com/orthahe...
"The Kanawa is a luscious calf-high boot in the Hopeful Family: a hybrid family using the last, fit, and soles of The Hope Family, the leathers of The Prepare Family, and the 2.25" leather wrapped heels of The Thanks Family - talk about a threesome! Featuring a soft rubber sole, pebbled Portuguese leathers, YKK inside zippers, and a natural footshape, The Kanawa sings songs softly for the entire World. F is for all things Hope."

"An iconic Fluevog line from the 80s, popularized by its distinctive pointed toe shape, The Swordfish has been re-imagined by John into this killer boot. Using tough, aged Texas leathers, tunite soles, instep zippers, straps and buckles, it's no wonder The Swordfish are cherished and collected by rockstars everywhere. The Edwardian Hamburger also includes a 3.5" leather-wrapped Cuban heel that brings the Fluevog flair way over-the-top. When asked to name this wild design, John remarked how the boot could have been worn in the 18th century, but with a modern Americanized glam heel... "it's like it was from the Edwardian Age... but also modernized American.. like Apple Pie or Hamburgers... I know, I'll call it THE EDWARDIAN HAMBURGER!" Stay Sharp!"

Culled 28 pairs of shoes from my collection. They're boxed and I will ship them to my brother's girlfriend when I get back from my end of month travel.
