Agree with Jeff. I have written by hand a letter that I am mailing to Google along with others. They need to reach a logical compromise. Many in the dev forums are declaring their current Android device will be their last. I am also making this my last Android device unless this changes. Leo, Gina, Jeff, I urge you as a fan of open source and open community, to address this today.

I find it very confusing that people tend to say "connected" - this is very old paradigm. for TCP/IP networks they prefer to say "has at least default gateway working" meaning that packets originated on your host (here it is N810) can go out and reach server. The fact it is bluetooth works as wireless *wire* between N810 and some phone , or whether it is WiFi - it doesn't matter much

I would love to throw a brick in Apple's window but if their technology allows indeed e-mail, contacts, and music sync with the iPhone on a Windows system, with all apps communication with the phone through a unique account then that account should have a unique control/settings point and that belongs to the Control Panel.On the other hand, can somebody tell me what is the "Windows CardSpace" plug-in supposed to offer? All of the various settings that can be adjusted for better battery life. Funny—I’ve been doing many of these things on my Treo 700p for the past two years anyway, so it won't be that big a deal for me. Of course, all 16 GB black iPhones are sold out in Massachusetts currently, but that's another issue.
