Well, it had to happen sooner or later. Just got an e-mail from Facebook, saying that Mom has friended me.
When I asked her about it, she said that she was on Facebook to follow some dude named Dr. Oz. He was on Facebook and Twitter, but she thought Twitter was too complicated. - Steven Perez

Relationship status with Twitter: It's Complicated. - Micah
Actually, no. My family is quite close, so not friending Mom would be seen as a problem. - Steven Perez from IM
Just as well. I friended her after all. I had received a message from an online friend that my firehouse (FriendFeed, Twitter, and Tumblr) were overwhelming her, and since I don't care too much about Facebook anyway, I shut these down. So now my presence on Facebook will be even more scarce. - Steven Perez
Nah, couldn't do that to Mom. - Steven Perez from IM
Aw. Well, you can move your Mom into a 'Family' list and set the privacy to show nothing to them. Then leave out newsfeed entries when you like or comment on something. - Rodfather
I thought about that. But then I remembered that I really don't like Facebook. - Steven Perez from IM
