"National Football League officials have notified the league's players union that they will stop the revenue sharing program which has subsidized lower-income clubs, ESPN reported Sunday. The program, which shifts 100 million dollars annually to held provide parity by aiding the teams with lowest income at the expense of those with the greatest revenues, the television network reported, citing unnamed sources. Between eight and 12 NFL teams annually qualify for money from the supplemental pool, part of 6.5 billion dollars in revenue shared by all 32 NFL squads."
