maybe you should Steven. they animated the comic. in that context, this is a great movie. its not trying to be accurate in anyway. its supposed to be over the top and exaggerated. this is a bluray/hd must have for anyone that has the slightest interest in hi-def. check out the comic at your LCS and see for yourself. - Carlos Ayala

Oh, I loved this movie. I always compare it like watching ballet. Well I guess people looking at ballet pay attention to the same things I was liking in 300. I still like to show myself my favourite scenes. Maybe the same scenes you laugh about, but I think the action scenes in this movie are so stylistically attractive, it's making it one of the best films of the last few years. - Ton Zijp

I liked the movie. Although most of it were over the top, fantasy-esque, I did enjoy the few bits that were relatively faithful of the Spartans. For example, their laconic wit (although I can see how it dampens most view of the dialogue) and the lambda on their shields. Nice portayal of the phalanx and their warrior spirit. Being able to capture the comic frames and translate them to a movie was also pretty awesome. - Arlan K. from FreshFeed
