It figures. Just when DOLLHOUSE starts getting really good, the series gets canceled. Die in flames, Fox.
I don't blame fox as much as I did for Firefly. They gave it a chance. Sadly the story development was slow. Also, Eliza Dushku just isn't that great an actress, Dichen Lachman on the other hand is amazing, so is the guy playing Victor. - G Dub of the Carolinas
Hate to say it, but being canceled is the best thing to happen to the writing of this show. - Jonathan Hardesty from Android
Given the level of writing that the original pilot showed, I am absolutely blaming Fox for this. If they hadn't retooled the show, we may have already reached this point by the end of Season 1, instead of nearing the truncated end of Season 2. - Steven Perez
It did get off to a slow start, it wasn't until we met Alpha last season that it started to come together for me. Now it's a must-see each week. Ms. Dushku is just now hitting her stride in the role but is still consistently overshadowed by Olivia Williams and much of the rest of the cast -- any guesses how long it will take Enver ("Victor") Gjokaj to get a show of his own? I'll be sad when it's gone but am eager to see what Joss does next. Whatever it is, I just hope it's not on Fox. - cdogzilla | downgraded
Good point Bunneh regarding Fox's heavy-handedness with the show. Joss needs to get over to TNT or FX. Dushku has a development deal with Fox for some reason and she brought Joss in. I had high hopes for Doll House, but they weren't dashed by Fox for me. Can't quite put my finger on who to blame. - G Dub of the Carolinas
I am mad at Fox for retooling the show, but I do understand why they did that. Even the Microsoft "Simplify" spots did something similar. They even tried to make up for the mistake, but the writing still didn't get going until after too many people had let the show go even after watching the entire first season. Poor Dollhouse, but at least it got a chance to show off some awesome in the end. And it gets to have a real finale. - The Amber
