very interesting, i suppose that 30DC is also a tribe hey?
- Loc
Just reading Tribes, great mind food...thanks for the recommendation Ed
- Steve Tallamy
Thanks Ed watching that was awesome. I downloaded Tribes to listen to on the plane back from Orlando but adding the video has given it so much more depth.
- SimonWJ
I would get started anyway, there is so much to do, you can always pick it up as you go through, but try and ask on the thirty day forum, a moderator should be able to give some good advice
- Catherine
From what Ed said on the tv show last night, 30DC+ is the next step after you've got the basics down from the 30DC.
- Mitchell Giangobbe

No, don't wait take action now so you are up to speed when the 30 day+ program comes online. 30D+ is the follow on to the 30 day challenge.
- Mark McGimpsey
Do the first 30 day challenge first. I think the new course is specific to writing content, but you first have to know how to make webpages in which to place the content, and how to do key word research in order to determine what the content will be about.
- mmarkets
yup should so the thirty day challenge - it's designed as an add on
- Ed Dale
I keep encountering friends and colleagues who are banging their heads against issues and the answers are there in the 30DC. Each episode that Ed, Dan, Rob and Caro produced are full of gems and each time I re-watch them I understand more about the subject. So in the words of Nike just do it.

If not WPD then what? Hello, any recommendations on easy website building tools? What would you recommend to someone who needed more flexibility than WPD but wanted the easy to use interface? Needing to build a real website but I am horrible at DreamWeaver =P
Hi Michael, I am fairly new to all of this but I have built a basic site for my offline business using http://www.bigpixie.com/. Wordpress is my choice at the moment but can recommend bigpixie for easy set up and navigation. Please note it is not free. You can however trial it for 10 days without commiting further. Alternatively Google search diy web site.Hope this helps.
- David R Blundell
You might want to check out my recommendation of Terapad blogs here http://allisonreynolds.com/blog... and then check out the search term "ed dale mankini" for the little test blog I put there
- Allison
Hi Michael - I am not a real techie but have found the WPD to be a really good way to build a site. I don't know if you realize that you can change up and switch around whatever template you are using. I am currently using blogger for another site of mine (it is free) but is not as flexible, in the end, as WPD. I think you should really give it another shot. IMO it offers a lot for free. Check out the forums, search wordpress direct, and see how you can manipulate the templates.
- Elizabeth
I must say I love Weebly, it is so easy to use and if like me you are technically challenged, it's a great alternative..
- Groobers
Micheal, I would add to what Elizabeth has said which is that what WPD have done with some contribution from IM gurus like Rob Somerville is tweeked the basic WordPress blog and added a lot of SEO and other feature, meaning the pages are already set up to help you win.You can also extend the plugins and design as Elizabeth says. I suppose the question I have is what can't it do that you want it to do?
- SimonWJ
Host your own Wordpress blog, and learn how to work with it. That's the only way to really get around this. For me I couldn't rely on other people all the time so I learnt it myself. I also host my own stuff by opening a reseller hosting account. Currently have around 7 websites & 4 blogs, not all mine though, but most are.
- Greg Martin
I currently am already hosting all my own WPD sites on a reseller account, but what I am looking for is to set up a course site. It will need member log-in and a forum. WPD does not seem to be the most flexible solution to adding css style boxes so I can arrange the pages just the way I need. What do you all think? And don't get me wrong WPD is great for SEO and blog style sites!

IMStrong here. PM me in the #30DC forum with the ideas you are having trouble with. I'll have a crack at it and see if I can help you find something suitable. I seem to have a knack for it. One thing I can guarantee you, there are literally millions of suitable keyword phrases that would make viable niche sites.
- Roy Gould
It's only the end once you give up. Be persistent and you'll get there.
- Michael Carlson
I'm lousy at coming up with ideas - my main hurdle is the "interest factor" where I find something viable but I don't feel I have enough interest in it to keep writing about it day after day and make it sound slippery enough to get sales - BUT I did find something eventually and I know if you keep looking you will to. It's only, what, day 10 of the challenge so don't give up yet - NEVER give up, you WILL get there and be thankful for it. All the best :o)

Jamie, I have just this minute posted my site to digg etc, 3 days late but I have got there. I was very down last night when my wife suggested an idea which seemed to have legs and hey presto it worked. Don't give up.

I had some problems with the older version with getting temporarily banned. Haven't fired up new version yet. Fingers crossed! I love Market Samurai! Awesome is an understatement.
- Wendy J. Roan
Unfortunately I could not get results from it until I ran it through a proxy server that is located in the US. I'm in Turkey, where Google SERPs return in Turkish by default. I do have it running well both on Windows and Linux though...
- John Serra
the blank results is a known issue check the saurai knoledge base
- Ed Dale
Also had issue of ?'s being returned for competition, MS generally sluggish. I seemed to be getting better results, although not perfect after closing the program and giving it an hour or so before continuing.
- Jayne Burch
i cant get this to install. when i double click it after downloading it nothing happens
- brian
I was getting blank results - but the samurai team was quick to answer my ticket! Close it down and then try a new search - do not use a saved search... I'll post my e-mail from them...

Hi all, yes it only seemed to work for the first keyword, wouldn't do anything after that. I ran the tutorial from them and from Rob while I did the first one. That helped. It is a complex application. I wish they had those little popup windows like Google used in Adwords that describe what all those codes at the top mean. Just a bunch of letters is just way to confusing. After it wouldn't work anymore I just went back to Google Key word tool and regular google and found my niches just fine.

Hi Steve, It sounds like the cause might be a recent issue we discovered... Google has changed their system recently (in the past few hours, as at Sunday August 3rd 7:43am Melbourne time) which is causing some columns to come back filled with Zero's In most cases, the Zeroes are triggered after conducting excessive queries. We suspect that the cause is a Google "Soft Ban". The symptoms...
