Rupert Murdoch vows to take all of Newscorp's websites out of Google, abolish fair use, tear heads off of adorable baby animals - http://www.boingboing.net/2009...
Just to be clear, I'm NOT thinking I'm siding with Glenn Beck here. I know only a little about him, but in regards to this lawsuit, it's obvious on the face of it that this is protected speech, and DEFINITELY not a trademark violation!!

Retailers Still Want New Laws Blaming eBay For Shoplifting; Law Enforcement Isn't So Sure - http://techdirt.com/article...
They can't be serious! This is insane! eBay is so addictive that normally law-abiding people start shoplifting so they'll have something to sell? If eBay was addictive, wouldn't these people first sell off all of their own possessions? Have you heard of anyone who lost everything they owned because they just couldn't stop selling on eBay? Sigh. Shoplifting is already illegal. Anyone who shoplifts CAN be prosecuted. According to the article, law enforcement says that eBay is cooperative in dealing with people who try to fence stolen goods on the site. I'm pretty sure that if they weren't, the cops could easily get a court order, and maybe even charge eBay with obstructing justice. So WHY do we need new laws to deal with this??
