A particularly outspoken coworker has been involved in an argument/discussion with another for something like 2 hours now. Curious.
OK, looks like I finally found the example I was looking for, my "stupid thought" turns out to be right. http://frickinsweet.com/ryanlan...
Can't figure out why no one has an example of constructor injection; I have an idea in my head but it seems stupid.
So when using an IoC container you don't do constructor injection at all? That's the part of Ninject's examples I found confusing.
Trying to implement an MVVM app today. Curious how far I'll get.
Just discovered "select text, right-click to search" in Firefox. Sad that I've gone this long ignoring it.
Just misread "venture capital" as "torture capital" and was very confused.
Hey Netflix, every time you drop my apartment number from the address there's shipping problems. Stop doing that.
Looking at Git. Wondering if I should use the Cygwin one or this mysterious msysgit...
I don't want to build all this stuff and write my own example; why can't I just download the assemblies I need and run an example?
Also there's code in Google Code, Codeplex, and Github, all linked from the various Ninject sites. Maybe I should look at another.
Hmm, looking at IoC containers and the Ninject guide left me asking some questions. Is there a binary download with an example?
I'd like to write one for practice but I always have a problem coming up with an app to write.
Huh now that I've taken the time to fool with an MVVM app it's actually pretty neat
Looking at an MSDN MVVM article. http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us... Hoping it's the one that helps me get what the fuss is about.
And that was mainly because the first time I hit it was *just* after I got a new PC and assumed it had been happening on the old, 32-bit one
Hmmm, just had a kind of SRP "aha" moment. Time to stop and write down what I observed.
@xpaulbettsx Hmmm, I think I saw it on 32-bit but can't remember if I've ever tried it there.
@xpaulbettsx Yep, looks like it's 64-bit only. Weird.
My guess is the process was "1. Drink Drano. 2. Drink some more. 3. Design a feature."
Leaving a "YOU ALREADY HAVE LUNCH MEATHEAD" post-it on my mug for tomorrow.
@xpaulbettsx I had just assumed it was another one of VB .NET's wacky features; good to hear it's known.
Man nothing like remembering the lunch you brought and were looking forward to as you carry your cafeteria stuff back up.
Can anyone explain the decision-making process that led to VB .NET silently consuming any exceptions from the Load event handler?
@ijoyce I'm a week or so into arguing against IfNotNullDoThisOrThat(). I'm sure you can imagine the parameters and implementation.
Which means of course I'm trying it out right now
@ijoyce If you think they're abused in open source .NET, you should see closed-source!
Every time I cook, my wife gets sick. Not an exciting trend.
Ahhh so "tomato concentrate" is "tomato paste". Thanks, cookbook-who-is-trying-too-hard-to-look-smart.
I'd have had what I wanted to cook last night if it wasn't trying to be so smarty pants.
