What else would satisfy a MISSION CRITICAL need more than FriendFeed?
- James Ferguson
"Yes, is this the Communications Focal Point? Yeah, I need you to turn FriendFeed back on....Yes...Mission Critical.....Well, if you don't give me back access, my mission will be to critically injure someone in this bitch, so I suggest you get your ass moving. KThxBai!"

I found a work-around already, but this is lame as hell!
- David Cook
well, in my job they´re still asking me about finding something with "The googles" - and printing all emails out for "filing" - so no chance of anything like this for a loong time.
- Peter Efland
they don't actually do that with their email do they?

3G cell phone + USB + tether = no more local network, browse via cell carrier.
- Enrique Gutierrez
Whaaa? I agree with Louis, time to look for a new job. Well, once the economy starts shining again anyway..

Yeah; they budget-cut us to death every dadgummed year, but they blockses NUFFING! Even, ah, naughtiness isn't banned, as long as no laws are broken and no time is stolen from the org.

@ Kamilah: I now have my laptop hooked up to my work monitor. The laptop is resting on the keyboard holder under my desk with a 'USB Switch' so I can switch from my laptop to the work computer on one monitor. I only have to tap 'Scroll Lock' twice to make it switch back and forth. My laptop is using internet from my Mogul, which acts like a wireless router. *They can't hold me back from FriendFeed!* =D
- David Cook
thanks David. I wouldn't have that kind of option if they block me... I seriously might have to go for a smart phone if it happens and fftogo & noiseriver don't work, either.
- Kamilah Gill
David, send enough MISSION CRITICAL requests to the Communication Focal Point, which by the way, sounds like a term Orwell would have coined. Send real and authentic requests, and it shouldn't be that hard to come up with a handful of work-related reasons to check FriendFeed. Do enough and the Communication Focal Point will either concede to the necessity of FriendFeed, or they will just get tired of all the requests from you and concede anyway. Either way, you win.
