BTW, there are 29 words in english that follow the regexp form "^.oa.$". There's only one that matches "^..oa$" I guess that's why this is a common error.

My #1 FF RFE at this point: I'd like to be able to go back and Edit in a photo/graphic for an existing post (or change an existing image). If something is picked up from my feed, I'd like it to have an option to automatically pull in the images. (Especially, for example, if it's a photo or cartoon entry on my blog.)

I could be wrong here, but far as I understand those things, if you post a photo to your feed here, and then share it elsewhere, that photo will be a part of that stream. Or what did you mean by "pull in" - as in "retain/ retract," or as in "ladle out" to all comers? Anyway, conditional feeds are not FF's primary bag.

Yep, the new share dialog needs to turn into a share/edit/delete combo where we can share to new feeds, edit the pic, title and URL, and remove it from it's existing feeds. To put it into one tidy box would make things easy to understand and use. #betakoltag-sg-extservices

Well stated, Kol. And excellent addition, Rachel. We have a basic edit capability for groups we create (i.e., you can edit the description and group logo at any point). I think every posted item needs that ability as well.

Works fine on Mac OS X 5.0.335 dev channel release. It looks like extensions are disabled on the extensions website and on Chrome internal pages, but if you go to like http://google.com the bookmarklet pops up just fine. You can try to remove the %20 in the action_url string, but removing it didn't seem to affect my usage either way.

Jesse, are you an advisor to kynetx (I see they're based in Lehi)? Do you know what their business model is - have they stated anything as such publicly. It certainly looks interesting.

Micah, I am not an advisor, nor do I have any vested interest. I just really like what they're doing. Their business model is in building custom apps for brands interested, or in consulting. I'm not sure what other types of deals they do. Their developer platform is free though. You can ask @windley or @fulling on Twitter though and I'm sure they can answer more detailed questions than I'm aware.

Of note, @windley wrote the Digital Identity book for O'Reilly, and has a very strong identity background. I fully expect them to go full force into the identity realm with what they're doing. Imagine completely customized context (such as this extension, but even more), through extensions, action cards, and bookmarklets, across all browsers.

e P.S. è un grosso difetto. In teoria i nexus potevano ovviare al problema degli aggiornamenti, ma adesso ci troviamo con il nexus one-gate. Tra l'impedire ai produttori di personalizzare un telefono e perdere tutte le ROM custom disponibili (es. Cyanogem, MIUI, ecc), scusate ma io scelgo tutta la vita la seconda. Degli aggiornamenti del produttore me ne frega di solito per la durata del primo mese di vita di un telefono.

Ho capito luca però lì sta al consumatore. Personalmente se so che quel dispositivo non è modificabile, è stravolto dalla casa produttrice, non gli faranno almeno il prossimo aggiornamento, ha il brand tim, ma non lo prendo neanche in considerazione.

Luca, non condivido: per me al 99% degli utenti non smanettoni va benissimo android con le rom stock non aggiornate senza il minimo problema, così come non fanno il jailbreak all' iPhone. cambiano solo i costi. come per un utente base non c'è differenza clamorosa tra linux e windows, ma usano il secondo perché è già sul pc.

quale maggior parte? quelli smaliziati che sentono l'esigenza di provare una rom alternativa (prima ancora di averne reale bisogno) e si sbattono un minimo per capire come rootare il proprio telefono. il market android è il primo che provo e non ho avuto il minimo problema a capire come funzionasse, essendo collegato coll'account google che già praticamente tutti hanno. e quai nessuno, al momento dell'acquisto pensa di dover aggiornare immediatamente il proprio device, imho.

Il problema, IMHO, è che tu parli di meccanismo di confronto tra ROM e personalizzazioni e features dei terminali che, mi pare di capire, non ritieni all'altezza. Probabilmente quelli di Android non sono il top, sicuramente sono migliorabili ma, rispetto ad Apple, hanno un punto di forza: esistono. Con Apple puoi scegliere solo se prendere il modello nuovo o quello vecchio, se aggiornare o no l'OS e, come massima personalizzazione possibile, puoi cambiare le suonerie e lo sfondo del telefono...

dici niente... ti ricordi quando si confrontavano i cellulari per i megapixel della fotocamera? ormai non ha più senso... fino a qualche mese fa non si potevano comprare app su android in Italia, adesso si può, ma resta il fatto che non hai certezza MATEMATICA che quella app funzioni sul tuo terminale... ci sono limitazioni simili su iphone, ma la semplicità dell'offerta semplifica la scelta: io continuo a vedere confusione nel prototipo Android, poi ovviamente non è il male assoluto

Se sei un utonto ti tieni il cellulare così com'è, gli aggiornamenti neanche esistono nel tuo immaginario, e ci fai quelle 3 o 4 cose che avresti fatto con il 3310 solo che adesso hai uno smartphone. per ragioni di sicurezza, qualsiasi produttore aggiorna. Se c'è qualche problema di sicurezza aperto in un telefono e sistemato nei repository di android di cui hai notizia vorrei saperlo, sono cose su cui ci si può incazzare con il proprio produttore e bisognerebbe farlo.

Io continuo a vedere che i commentatori europei non tengono in considerazione i due anni di contratto che la stragrande maggioranza degli utenti americani (il mercato più grande e/o più importante) ha per avere un telefono: questa è l'abitudine, questa la dinamica commerciale molto difficile da cambiare. La tabella parte da questo ragionamento mostrando che pochi device restano "aggiornati" mentre il compratore è ancora all'interno di questo rapporto vincolante.

Questa tabella di confronto non ha senso: Android è un sistema che, appena nato, era molto più esteso di iOS (vedi il GPS nativo, per citarne una) e in tre anni si è evoluto notevolmente. iOS è praticamente uguale a sé stesso da tre anni. L'unità di misura temporale è sbagliata, il mio Magic con Gingerbread vive felicemente ancora adesso.

In che senso l'unità temporale è "sbagliata"? Ci sono errori nelle versioni degli OS indicati? E il tuo "Magic" ha Gingerbread fornito dal produttore/operatore o messo da te? Ti forniranno/permetteranno di fare l'aggiornamento a Android 4.qualcosa?

1) Non ci sono errori - non ho neanche controllato - è sbagliato utilizzare l'unità temporale quando nello stesso tempo ci sono stati sviluppi a velocità differenti. ganassa: da come la vedo io il succo del tuo discorso è che per te va bene che chi compra Android dipenda dai "produttori/brandizzatori" e che sostanzialmente l'utente si deve rassegnare a nuove spese se Google e produttori di hardware fanno uscire hardware e software nuovo in pochi mesi. O no?

When I worked at a grocery store the manager instructed me to pick moldy strawberries out of the plastic cartons and replace them with an equal number of non moldy ones from other cartons(Which where also moldy). I later told one guy with children to not buy them, just couldn't in good conscience allow him to possible feed them to his kids.

When I worked for a privately owned plastics manufacturer, letting the owner's son (in an endless fired-rehired loop) do anything on the premises was absolutely hazardous in almost every way possible. The problem with the Kindle with Special Offers: pressing the biggest button on the Kindle repeatedly results in purchasing the special offer, which is how Violet purchased two car detail packages from EMC Auto Center in Fremont.
