I find it preposterous that Yglz isn't more of a soccer fan. But I love his increasingly frequent soccer commentary. I think his point is interesting, but I'd add the caveat that there IS a lot of "cheating" in soccer. Usually this refers to diving, or "simulation," but the point is that there is such a thing in the game. Now, that said, the hysteria directed at Henry is outrageous. He did not cheat. He didn't call his own foul, but then again, I've never seen that happen in soccer. The real takeaway from this episode is that we need instant replay. The entire officiating philosophy of the game is obsolete. We can't honestly expect one ref and two linesman, even with all the training in the world, to call-it-like-they-see-it and expect them to get it right.
