The Most Powerful Female Bloggers on FriendFeed - Profy.Com - http://www.profy.com/2008...
am on this list. woot! - susan mernit
@gregory, whether it does or not, this is a great list. I think it's good to highlight many names that we might not otherwise have known in this way. - Louis Gray
@gregory... said by a man. ;) - Cyndy
Greg, you have made some wise observations before--how do we all get away from the listmania of our culture? - susan mernit
of course you are susan, as are many more great voices - agree w/ louis, forget the list aspect its really about exposing folks we may not be aware of yet - its about balance :) - mike "glemak" dunn
You deserve recognition as do most women. Sadly, it's a dickcentric world. - Phil Boiarski
weeee.. I'm there. - Orli Yakuel
nice list, but many of them aren't very active here - Imran Hussain
A bit disappointed that the people that I wasn't already subscribed to aren't really "on" FriendFeed. They have accounts with feeds in, but very few (if any) direct posts, likes or comments. - Her Lindsay-ness
I'm glad to see that I'm not in that list. - Akiva Moskovitz
I'm sorry, every time I look down I become conscious of my gender. - cecily
Thanks Svetlana Gladkova! Beaten to the punch... My next blog article is ("Interesting Women on FriendFeed"), but it's not just bloggers. - Mitchell Tsai
+1 Lindsay But just having an account is a start. I've been finding it funny that LinkedIn is the most popular social site among my friends, but less than half (6/13) of the top bloggers I checked are on LinkedIn. - Mitchell Tsai
Phil! Old friend of many years..nice to see you here. I think this meme about women and tech is going to keep ratcheting around, but it is difficult to say anything new. - susan mernit
Mitchell: Will be looking forward to the post. And I definitely agree with voices that we should care less about gender here, more about personalities. But we have had a number of lists intended to discover some female bloggers everywhere so I thought adding one for FriendFeed as well would not hurt. - Svetlana Gladkova
Svetlana, I found your post useful. Gregory, I find it hard ot permanently outgrow the human fascination with lists..I sneer at them, and then I get sucked into them, so it's a seesaw. - susan mernit
Though I'd like to be above the gender thing, it did bother me that FF suggested not a single woman to me someone whose feeds I might want to subscribe to and that bothered me. This list gave me some more to check out. - Kate
@Susan: Thank you, glad you have found it useful. And I try not to abuse lists myself as a blogger but we do see too many of them already on a daily basis - especially with Digg's fascination over 10 top something... type of posts. - Svetlana Gladkova from twhirl
@Kate: Yes, that's what bothers many of us - no single woman on the recommended 9 list. And it feels unfair since there are so many women actively participating in social media. Glad the list offered you some women to subscribe to. - Svetlana Gladkova from twhirl
