chrome os virtual machine doesn't seem to recognize the vmware network adapter. Right now it's a 700mb bright blue login screen

There is a chrome os vmdk floating around. I'd suggest you don't use your main google account to login. create a throwaway.account

I'd like to see chrome os integrate a local web server (apache) rather then be able to run android apps.
